DECIDE Model

Approach a decision with a simple linear framework

When making decisions, it is important to use a model that will help you properly analyze the situation and make an educated decision. The DECIDE model is a great acronym to use when making decisions. This process walks marketers through a process to properly analyze, make an educated decision, and take next steps with a well-thought out marketing strategy.

The DECIDE model stands for defining the problem, establishing the criteria, considering alternatives, identify the best alternative, doing the identified actions, and evaluating and monitoring the decision.

Defining the problem is the first step in using this model. You must be able to identify what the problem is that you are trying to solve. Once you have identified the problem, you can then establish the criteria. The criteria will help you to identify what is important when solving the problem.

After you have established the criteria, you can then begin to consider alternatives. Considering alternatives is an important step in making sure that you are making the best decision possible. You must be able to look at all of the options and weigh the pros and cons of each option.

Once you have considered all of the alternatives, you can then identify the best alternative. The best alternative is the option that meets all of the criteria that you have established. After you have identified the best alternative, you can then begin to take action. Taking action is important in order to implement the decision that you have made.

After you have taken action, you must then evaluate and monitor the decision. Evaluating and monitoring the decision is important in order to make sure that it is successful. You must be able to see how the decision has affected your problem and make changes if necessary.

The DECIDE model is a great way to help you make decisions. This process will help you properly analyze the situation, make an educated decision, and take next steps with a well-thought out marketing strategy. By using this model, you can be sure that you are making the best decision possible.
